Disclaimer: I’ve not yet read the book, but a relative, who’s an active duty USAF fighter pilot, knew him at the academy (but not well), says “ From what I’ve heard recently, a lot of people who do know him respect him, think he’s highly intelligent, and suggest he clearly understood what the consequences of the podcast and book were going to be.”

Upon reading about Lt. Col. Lohmeier and his book, and the ensuing firestorm, I immediately thought of a piece Doug Wilson had written the day before- https://dougwils.com/books-and-culture/s7-engaging-the-culture/the-duties-of-christian-cops.html -wherein he says this as part of his advice to Christian cops; So you do need to be prepared to wreck your career at Amazon too, and at Ford, and at Apple, but you really need to be prepared for it if you carry weapons on behalf of the state.
God bless you, LtCol Lohmeier.
